Simply aim to make certain your title is highly descriptive of your page while making sure to not dilute the effectiveness of your keyword by adding too many other words. Do not use just the Company Name if the company name does not have a keyword. Think "keywords" when writing the title. Try to put your keywords as close to the beginning as possible.
Meta descriptions are regularly forgotten by website owners. It is effective to write some description about your page (each page), which should include some keywords as well. These are used within the search results when your page listed. This serves as the additional explanation text that typically displays the Url in a search result. Meta descriptions are very helpful for your content as well. So again, using the “Speak Chinese” example; an effective Meta tag would be include something like this: “This easy Chinese Speaking set or CD is possibly the most effective and money saving language set ever. Using some keywords like these is going to boost your ranking in search engines.”
Your total description should be approximately 150 characters and you should use complete sentences. Some search engines may support more keywords when indexing a page, but they also may only display a smaller quantity of characters. Use at least one of your keywords near the beginning of the description and using 12 to 24 words total (and not exceeding the character limit) seems to be a good range for most search engines. Do not use the same description for all pages.
For every page on your website you should define a set of keywords in the form of meta tags. Same with the steps above, these keywords should be relevant and hit your target audience’s search criteria. As we mentioned above, search engines are crawling into websites to find the most relevant website for the user based on their search term. If your website has a search engine friendly URL, that’s perfect (i.e. if you sell dog food a good url would be dogfooddepot.com). If not, you may have an initial challenge, against your competition, to be found by search engines. Also, for dynamic websites where you often see numbers and random letters in the urls, those need to be corrected to include relevant keywords in your URLs. For blog posts, instead of xxx.com/subcategory/2343222/article589 do it like site.com/portfolio/seoclients/keyword. The second one is much better at getting crawled and recognized by search engines.
Body Tags (H1, H2, H3, H4, etc.)
When writing your articles, you should break up your content into smaller sections and paragraphs to make it easier for people to read and follow. These sections can be given headings called H1, H2,H3, H4…n tags are used. Generally H1 tags are reserved for your main page title, with following headings (just like the ones we use throughout this post) being issued H2, H3, etc. Search engines use these body tags to determine what is important within your content.
