Situation

Toy Box Entertainment is an award-winning company that makes trailers for film, television, and special events. They have produced many feature film trailers and are well-known in the film industry.

They were finding that visitors to their site were having difficulty navigating and interacting with it.  Users could come to the site and watch a trailer easily enough, but if they wanted to see another trailer for the same movie they had to go back and find it again within the list of all the other movies. This wasn’t very intuitive and was causing difficulty for potential clients.

Toy Box tasked ATAK to redesign, update, and provide a facelift for the site that would simplify the process for a more intuitive navigation structure. They also wanted to improve video load speeds.


Solution

We worked in close consultation with Toy Box to identify their customers’ sticking points and where they were losing opportunities. Using custom design and coding, we implemented changes to make the site more intuitive and user-friendly.

We simplified the site navigation to reduce user confusion, and integrated Twitter and Facebook for linking and sharing. The improved navigation led to better engagement and users going deeper into the site and visiting more pages, resulting in fewer drops. ATAK also managed search engine optimization, which resulted in an increase of over 50% in organic search traffic. This increased new visits by over 34% month-over-month.
