11 Beautiful Websites ATAK Has Built in 2016

by Austin LaRoche - Aug 02, 2016

I often find myself in meetings being asked, “So, who are your clients?” As we discussed a few weeks back, ATAK considers itself “industry agnostic.” I have gone to the largest beekeeping operation in Southern California, the private headquarters of a known celebrity, and had the author of a marijuana cookbook come to my office and try to barter a website design from me…all in the same week.***

The range of prospects and possibilities keeps us constantly learning and exploring new industries.

***Editor’s Note Demanded by HR: ATAK Interactive did not take this prospect up on his proposition. 🙂

2016 has been no different. We have had clients in the signage, professional services, beauty, entertainment, law, and medical industries. We have built websites intended to entice brides to buy wedding cakes and others meant to sell raw materials to factories. We’ve built them from scratch and we’ve redesigned others to reflect the times. We’re proud of the work we have done thus far in 2016, and look forward to continue adding to the portfolio throughout the year.

We want to take a step back and appreciate the hard work that our project managers, designers, coders, and especially our clients have put into the development of some truly great webpages this year.

So without further ado, and in no particular order, here are 11 beautiful websites built in 2016 by your friends at ATAK Interactive…

Access Sign Systems | www.signsbyaccess.com

AccessLocated in Philadelphia, Access Sign Systems manufactures quality wayfinding and interior signage in residential and healthcare facilities. Like Da Vinci, Access believes simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.

ATAK took this to heart and built an easy-to-navigate, responsive web design with beautiful product and lifestyle imagery. The clear and distinct photos give potential buyers an understanding of the quality of the Access product line. The information is segmented for both the end user and the sales reps the B2B operation is looking to attract.

Triple Ring Technologies | http://www.tripleringtech.com/

triple ringTriple Ring is an imaginative research and development firm that solves complex technical challenges. When building their new site, it was important to Triple Ring to showcases the range of scientists, engineers, and market experts that make up their team. We built a custom module on their team page to organize the display of the staff.

One fun highlight from their site – as a family-first company, they decided to showcase images of their children in the footer of each sub-page.

Nova Polymers | http://www.novapolymers.com/

nova polymersNova Polymers creates the ADA compliant materials manufacturers need to produce signage. The company focuses on education and has built out an abundance of resources to help their clientele understand the intricacies of ADA compliance.

Visitors can find webinar calendars, white papers, infographics, How-To guides, and extended FAQs to dive into to learn about the product and the importance of ADA signage.

The site was built on the robust Finanza WordPress Theme and customized to fit the sleek look and feel of the company.

Mad Rouge | http://www.madrougebeauty.com

MR - Website ScreenshotMad Rouge is the brainchild of two mompreneuers in the Santa Monica area. After years of going to the same old child birthday parties – bouncy houses, balloons, and superheroes – they started their own trend: makeup parties. No, not the type of parties where you PUT ON makeup, but rather, the science and creation of your own makeup products. Kids (and adults!) can hire them for a party where attendees create lipstick, eye shadow, nail polish, and lip gloss.

The final creations set the stage for gorgeous photos that serve as the centerpiece of the content on the site and give visitors a visual tease of the makeup products they can create at a Mad Rouge party.

Jbaby | https://www.jbaby.com

jbabyJbaby is a custom designed and engineered website that helps connect intended Parents and prospective egg donors. They specialize in Japanese, Jewish, and other Asian egg donors, populations that typically find themselves with limited options.

The site has heavily customized and protected in-take and profile forms for egg donors and intended parents. Due to the nature of the target audience, the site has multiple versions in different languages.

ATAK helped brand the company from its conception, providing a logo, color scheme, style guide, and imagery guidelines that give the site the warm and modern look you see today.

The Deeks, the Qwocks, the Mogs & the Treasure | http://deeksqwocksmogs.com/

deeksEvery once in awhile, we get a fun project that sits a little outside of our usual clientele. In this instance, it actually came from a side project of one of our current clients. When he’s not kicking ass as a trial attorney for the Drexler Firm, Jonathan Drexler is exploring his passion as a children’s writer.

His first release is The Deeks, the Qwocks, the Mogs & the Treasure. Jonathan needed a home for his project, and we built him a one-page site where visitors can learn about the book, the background on the writer and designer, why the book was so important for Jonathan to write, and of course, where you can purchase the book.

Law Offices of Scott Warmuth | www.law888.com

law888Law 888 is the home of The Law Offices of Scott Warmuth, a legal firm specializing in Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, Auto Accidents, Immigration, and Intellectual Property Law. ATAK created a custom video background for their opening header to showcase the firm’s lead attorneys and office setting.

The content throughout the site showcases the range of cases the firm takes on while also putting a face to each department.

The firm has five locations across Southern California and is always offering their team Continuing Education courses, so we built in a great Events tool for team members to easily access and RSVP to events where applicable.

Murtha Skouras | http://www.murthaskouras.com/

murtha skourasMurtha Skouras is a talent agency for off-camera talent in the Entertainment industry. Their clientele includes cinematographers, producers, production designers, costume designers, and more. The site serves as a robust portfolio for the Murtha Skouras talent.

Each person has a profile page with their CV and reels. Studios and producers looking to hire this talent can easily peruse the work in video format without having to jump to another website.

Superfine Bakery | https://www.superfinebakery.com/

superfine bakeryThe power of photography takes center stage on Superfine Bakery’s website. The custom cake boutique brings the couture designs and modern looks of NYC and European luxury cake makers to Los Angeles-area clients.

As a luxury product, it is imperative to the brand to have a website that reflects the artisan touch that goes into creating each cake. This is conveyed through exceptional photography, simple UX, a concise sitemap, and an easy-to-order shop for accessories and other products.

Zebra Energy | https://zebra.energy/

zebra energyZebra Energy is a solar designer, producer and supplier of solar energy products. They needed to redesign their ecommerce store on a more robust platform. We built a new store on the Magento platform that would cater both to their B2B and B2C clients, providing the company one central source to keep track of orders.

The clean interface lets buyers get to the products they’re interested in quickly, while providing detailed information on specs and features of each item in the store.

Creative Minds | http://creativemindspsychotherapy.com/

Creative minds psychotherapy Creative Minds Psychotherapy was developed for people in the Film/TV, Performing and Fine Arts who are stuck and unhappy due to childhood emotional experiences. Due to the nature of the business, it was important to build a site with a tone that helped potential clientele relate, as well as understand the expertise that goes into the program.

The site wastes little space – it explains the practice, showcases the leader of the program, provides the necessary information to clients, and calls them to get in touch with the doctor to learn more.

These are just a few of our favorite web designs from the first half of 2016. We'll check back in at the end of the year with even more fresh web designs for companies in Los Angeles, and around the world.
